New for Summer 2011, visitors to our farm and cottages are now able to buy produce directly from us.

 

At Hendra Farm we have a very old fashioned attitude to animal husbandry, and this almost always pays great dividends when it comes to flavour and texture. Our native or rare breeds of livestock respond well to slow, traditional rearing. The lamb is grass fed, and the pork is from free-range pigs; they are not forced to grow quickly, but allowed to develop gently at their own pace.

Rabbit is an extremely low fat meat, but very tasty! Our rabbits are reared in spacious pens, and enjoy ample fresh greens from our own garden.

The hens and ducks are free ranging, thus ensuring fabulous golden yolks!

  • 'Well Tickled' traditional Farmhouse pork sausages & sausagemeat

  • Free range eggs - chicken, duck and quail
  • Homemade jams, marmalades and chutneys
